Gitzo G1276M Off-centre Ball Head. The Gitzo G1276M is the predecessor of the GH2750 off-centre ball head.

It is one of the most versatile ball heads offered by Gitzo, allowing the camera to be positioned in virtually any way imaginable, thanks to the rotating ball housing shown in the photos. This is particularly useful for botanical photography with the centre column of the tripod inverted to bring the camera close to ground level. In this configuration the camera mounting plate can be moved so that the camera is in the upright position as shown in the final photo - this is not possible with most ball heads and 3-way heads. The head has separate ball and pan locking controls and a graduated mount to aid with taking precise panoramas.

A quick release plate is included (note: I also have two spare quick release plates listed separately that will fit this head, in case you want more than one).
